What you need

  • 1 Aeropress Set (scoop, funnel, stirrer, filter)
  • 1 Weight Scale
  • 22 grams Medium-fine Ground Coffee
  • 1 Mug
  • 1 Gooseneck Kettle
  • 400ml 175°FHot Water

Instructions

Step 1

Scoop in 22g of coffee into the Aeropress. Start your stopwatch then begin pouring the hot water until 3/4 full.

Step 2

Stir to mix hot water and coffee and pour hot water again until all the way to the top.

Step 3

While brewing, pre heat your mug together with the paper filter on top of your mug so pour hot water on the paper filter enough to fully wet it, this is to rinse off the papery taste. Then cover your Aeropress using the filter cap. Make sure to discard the rinse hot water from your mug.

Step 4

At about 1 minute and 20 seconds, begin pressing the Aeropress very slowly on top of your mug until you reach 2 minutes in on your stopwatch. The technique in pressing here is to push using the weight of your two hands, very gently.
